This Tiba & Marl changing bag review is based on the X Selfridges Elwood Mesh design, which I purchased when I pregnant with Hollie (around 7 months ago). In my opinion, Tiba & Marl offer the best changing bag designs, in terms of practicality, function and style.

The video above takes a closer look at its features, highlights of which include the overall design, its size, dedicated compartments, material and more – all of which you can find a brief overview on below too.

Tiba & Marl changing bag review: Key features

When it comes to the best backpack changing bags, you'll be hard pushed to find better than Tiba & Marl. The company has a selection of stylish, unisex design, created specifically with the needs of parents and young children in mind.

Some of the best things about Tiba & Marl bags are the fine details, which might seem quite small in the grand scheme of things, but actually make life so much easier when you're out and about. A prime example of this is the built in clips to attach the backpack to the pushchair, padded shoulder straps for extra comfort when wearing, and dedicated comparments – including an insulated bottle holder – to help keep yours and baby's essentials easy to find.

At £140, it's by no means cheap. But I honestly think this backpack will last me a lifetime. It's incredibly sturdy, thick material, which I feel like would take a serious amount of misuse to really ruin. More expensive, yes, but an investment that you more than get your money's worth from.

The only slight downside to my particular design is the mesh on the front, which actually is quite difficult to clean. However a wet sponge seems to be doing the trick so far. I've been using my Tiba & Marl bag daily for five months now and I can honestly say it still looks almost brand new.

Another thing to say is if you have any problems with your purchase, Tiba & Marl's customer service is excellent. I actually found choosing the design I liked the best very hard just from pictures online, and initially chose a different one. However when it arrived, it wasn't quite what I was expecting, so I emailed the company and they were brilliant about letting me swap it for a different option.

Tiba & Marl changing bag review: Should you buy it?

As I mentioned above, Tiba & Marl products aren't cheap, but then they also aren't the most expensive on the market either. I personally think that the price of these bags offers really excellent value for money. Not only do they look great, they are extremely robust and will last a seriously long time if you look after them. They also work really well as a work/everyday/weekend bag when the kids outgrow them, which extends the shelf life significantly.
